Linton Park 76 Chardonnay 2015, Wellington, South Africa
Linton Park’s history dates back to 1699 when Governor Willem Adriaan van der Stel granted De Slange Rivier farm to Louis Fourie, a French Huguenot.
The vineyard is located at an altitude of 500m, one of the most high-altitude vineyards in South Africa. After fermentation in stainless steel tanks, fermentation continues for a week in new French oak barrels followed by 12 months aging in French oak. Complex flavours of ripe fruit and spices, ripe pears, figs, melons and butter.
